When I press either the FILL 16 OZ or FILL 32 OZ button, the LED array flashes and the buzzer sounds.
1) Verify that there is enough Oil System Cleaner in the OSX storage tank. Add if required.
The fill button may need to be pressed multiple times to purge the air out of the system after running the system
low on Oil System Cleaner.
2) Verify that the Oil System Cleaner in the OSX storage tank is not contaminated. The color and viscosity of the Oil
System Cleaner must match new cleaner from the bottle. If contamination is suspected, call RTI Technical Support for
assistance.
3) Examine the Inline Filter (P/N 026-80283-00) for contamination as depicted on Page 10 of the OSX-2 Operation Manual.
Replace the filter if required.
There does not seem to be an Adapter for the vehicle I am trying to service.
The Operation Manual says to use the Thread Gauges to determine which Adapter Ring should be used.
This is done by finding which Thread Gauge easily threads into the oil filter. The corresponding Adapter Ring is then
threaded into the Spin-On Adapter Housing.
It is possible that the Spin-On Adapter Housing may not thread onto the oil filter
mount. If this happens, try other Adapter Rings - there will be one that fits.
Example - There are Honda vehicles where the Silver Adapter Ring would be
selected based on the use of the Thread Gauge. The Spin-on Adapter Housing with
this Adapter Ring inserted would then not fit on the oil filter mount. By trying
other Adapter Rings it would be discovered that the Blue Adapter Ring will work.
Why? Some early Thread Gauges were slightly out of tolerance (call RTI for a
replacement if you encounter this problem).
It's always a good practice to try each of the rings when a fit can not be
determined by using the Thread Gauge.
I'm having a problem with the Spin-On Adapter Housing when
trying to service a Saturn. There seems to be an interference as I try to screw
it onto the oil filter mount.
Some Saturns have a very close space for the oil filter and indeed the Spin-On
Adapter Housing interferes. This is easily corrected by grinding the Spin-On
Adapter Housing as shown in the photo.

I poured oil into the Fill Port instead of Oil Cleaner Chemical.
Now the OSX-2 will not operate. What do I do now.
The OSX-2 will need a complete flush. Call RTI Technical
Support for help. Be sure and mention that oil was put into the unit as this will
speed up the solution when you speak with our technician.
